We hope that this area of the website will provide you with all the information you require, whether you are a parent/carer of a pupil currently at Sweyne Park, or if you are considering sending your child to the school in the future.
Our policy has always been to seek very strong home-school partnerships, providing the best possible start in life for your child.
This section of our website seeks to advise parents of the purpose of the parents’ forum as well as it’s meeting dates and times.
Parental support for home learning is essential. Monitor home learning to make certain that it is completed, and that your child is able to do it.
If your child is having difficulty with home learning, this may be an early warning sign of a problem that you should discuss with your child’s teacher.
The ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Parent/Teacher Association is a vital part of school life. It helps raise money for the school (recent purchases have included a new minibus and state-of-the-art ICT facilities in our new Media/Drama block), as well as helping out at various school events, such as Parents’ Evenings.
Our Exams page is intended to provide information about the examinations taken by pupils at the ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ for pupils, parents and carers. There is also important information about exam regulations, the equipment required and the exam timetables.
You can find all school letters and communications that have been sent home with pupils.
The school regularly measures and assesses the impact of careers.
Students choose their pathway on the basis of our personalised careers information and guidance. Essentially, the choice is steered by longer term aspirations, based on whether there is a strong preference towards going to university or beginning a career straight after leaving school.
For those students entitled to Free School Meals, their account will be loaded daily with the amount of a meal deal – currently this is £2.85.
Accounts can be loaded with additional monies but the system will always use the free school meal fund first.
